To all you lurkers, posters, parents, the Youth Alpha guys and the Free* Cafe crew.

The Broadway Youth program of events is taking a break over the Christmas holidays, but we'll be back to the usual high jinkery very soon.
Check back this way every now and again as we'll more then likey post some stuff between bouts of tripe watching on the telly.

Here's a festive challenge: according to Nintendo your brain goes red when you read out loud, but it goes all grey when you watch TV. Red = good. Grey = bad. ( I expect there is some science behind it.)

Try reading from the bible out loud for 5 minutes twice a day over the holidays. Click here if you want something to get you started.
You can't loose! Let me know how you get on.

Have a great Christmas!

PS
This Sunday at Broadway Baptist Church ( Chesham, UK ) there's an all age service with drama and all sorts of stuff.
+ I'm doing the talk on Christmas day.
Both start at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome.

We love UNIVERSITY OF THE KING

Oh boy do we.... so imagine our joy at seeing this:

The latest free download on U of the K label website Zang productions, it's one of the best songs I've heard all year (not to mention a right merry festive treat for your MP3 player).
There's also a fun cover of the crimbo classic 'let it snow' and if you've never been to the site before there are another 3 Christmas treats for you to download (inc' The Visitors by the Custodians - only one of the best Christmas songs of the last two thousand years).
Click here to go to the Zang download page.
We were playing these songs at Free* Cafe' last week so if you liked them there you really should get clicking.

Here's the Free* Cafe' video that I made with Rob last year. It's been on youtube and myspace for ages now but I don't think we've stuck it on the blog before.

Isn't he sweet!

We love THE PARK RACE....

....so much that we've nicked this stuff off their myspace profile to celebrate the fact that Broadway Youth beauty Simon Dwight is back in the UK. Yay.

Have a look at these natty videos of what he got up to in the USA + hear some decent tunes. Enjoy!

Oh, by the way, FBI tomorrow, yay.

Youth Alpha on Sunday

This week it's about God living in a tent (called the
Tabernacle) so he could be near his people.

Get your head around that!

Chesham Victorian Night - No Youth Alpha

Those Victorians certainly knew how to have fun!
When they weren't playing golf at sunset they were stuffing Tiny Tim up chimneys, picking on poor Bob Cratchet and going late night shopping. Or something like that, I might be getting mixed uo with the Trojans.

But which ever, there's no denying that tonight is in fact Chesham's annual Victorian shopping night. That special evening once a year where the town centre is full of people eating candyfloss, giving to charity, riding the carousel and generallly having a grand old time.

Broadway Baptist Church is joining in the historically flavoured fun by welcoming passers by inside for a hot chocolate, a bit of cake and some carol singing in the warm.
There's no Youth Alpha tonight as a result, but if you and your family are getting all Victorian tonight then pop in and say hello, it'd be great to see you.

Walking on by....

Here's a few pictures from last Friday's Youth Alpha, the group for school years 7 - 11 at Broadway Baptist Church.
We've been following God's master plan through history and we've got as far as the Passover, an incredible and pretty scarry event that points a big finger to what Jesus would do. Just click this link for some interesting stuff about this from Jews for Jesus.

These photos show some of the doors at church which we covered in paper and then painted with ....

.... red paint (not lambs blood like in the original passover, click here to read all about it from the Message Bible paraphrase).

We painted the door frames as an prayer, to show our willingness to follow God. Just like in the original passover, it wasn't enough to just be born Jewish on that night, you had to follow God's intructions if you wanted to be part of his people. The alternative just wasn't worth thinking about. Just like now, we have to make the decision to follow God, we can't rely on our parents or our family tree to do it for us.
Just like it says in John 3 verse 16
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (New Living Translation).

My brain hurts!

Have you played Brain Training on the Nintendo DS? It's a video game for old people and if you give TV's Chris Tarrant money he'll say he likes it.

But that's not saying much, just watch this video for evidence that Chris Tarrant will say anything for money.

Did you hear the song at the end there? "Good old Bertie Bassett, He's Britian's greatest asset". Why ever did they stop using that I wonder? It's pretty catchy!

Anyway, enough Chris - back to this:
We got it on Monday and boy oh boy it is an experience. It’s supposed to make you better at remembering things (my need for this was evident at Youth Alpha on Friday when I forgot my own name TWICE!) but really it’s just brought out the competitive side in Park_2002 and me. Take it from me, she DOES NOT LIKE TO LOOSE ;-)

After three days her estimated ‘Brain Age’ is 24, and I.... apparently I have the brain of a 60 year old.
But get this, on Monday my first brain age score was 41, so not only am I am now officially a bit thick, I have actually got thicker as the week went on. Thanks Nintendo!

10 ways to get lots of attention

Well hello there, here's your belated guide to the heigh lights of what we got up to at Youth Alpha last Friday and a sneaky peek at what's going on tonight. (if you're not in the know, Youht Alpha is one of the regular events for young people at Broadway Baptist Church in Chesham. It meets on Fridays and Sundays at the church and it doth rock, so sayeth I). Last Friday was all about this:

and here it is in French, well why not when you can aye!

That's right, we had a look at the plagues God sent on Egypt. Read the proper, non animated version by clicking here. It's pretty scarry stuff. We learned that the plagues were what my teacher wife might describe as "God's lesson plan to achieve the following three learning objectives for Pharaoh and Israel, a mixed ability class":

1.Yahweh is more powerful than Pharaoh, his magicians and his gods.
2. The Hebrew people that Pharaoh made slaves and butchered do not belong to him. They belong to God
3. There is no one and nothing like Yahweh. He is the one who is really in control

This stuff is massively important because it's just as true now as it was then. For an example of this try taking out Pharaoh's name from the third point and insert the name of a world leader of your choice. If the end result seems unlikey then this bible passage has something to teach you.

Tonight's Youth Alpha looks at how God resuced the Hebrews from Egypt, and that they could not do it for themselves.

Believe it or not they did sing a big ol' power ballad at about this time in Bible history. No really, they honestly did! Read the real thing by clicking here, scroll down to Exodus chapter 15 and see it for yourself.
On a similair theme, watch this classic Free* Cafe' video that looks at how Jesus does the things we cannot do, because we all still need rescuing folks; but none of us are up to the job!

This Sunday morning we're looking at the rules that God gave Israel to live by. This should be pretty interesting if you've been coming to Solid Rock, Free* Cafe or F.B.I. this term where we've been thinking about God's top ten rules for living (often called the Ten Commandments by less hip people then my good self).

Wet Wet Wet

Hello virtual chums. This morning at Broadway Baptist Church we had a great Baptism service. Want to know what baptism is? Then click here to read an excellent explanation from a church in America.
Or watch this video to get a good idea of what baptism isn’t:

This morning Tim & Fiona were the people getting wet. They gave a short talk about their experience of how they gradually came to know God for themselves over several years and how they saw the love of Jesus change and shape their lives.
We had some fantastic music from the All Souls Orchestra, which Tim & Fiona both play in. It was all strings, brass and stuff like that and it was a really incredible thing to experience. Click here to visit their website, where you can find out more about the orchestra and get dates for some gigs in December. If you were there and really enjoyed the music click here to get their latest CD from Amazon.co.uk.

This morning Phil (the Minister at Broadway) talked about taking a step of faith, like Peter the disciple of Jesus in Matthew 14 verses 22 to 36. We’ve posted this before, but watch this great clip fromRob Bell's Nooma DVD series. This clip is from Nooma 8: Dust, which looks at this incredible story from a slightly different angle. It comes highly recommended.

Click back this way soon for details of what's coming up at Broadway Youth.

How nerdy is Mahbejah?

Accroding to some online test - he's this nerdy:
I am nerdier than 14% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!
HA-HAH, not that nerdy at all then! But it also said not that cool either. WHAT?
Click on my score to take the test for yourself and find out how nerdy you are.
But be warned! The questions make the assumption that you are only a real nerd if you are a scientific or mathmatical genious, ala Gill Grissom from C.S.I.

Watch Napolean Dynamtie for a much more realistic picture of Nerd life!

Deliver us!!!!!!

Hey ya blog reader, how you been?
Tonight is the first normal Youth Alpha at Broadway Baptist Church in about a month. So if you've been to any of the recent events ( fire works, the all-nighter, get together with New Town church and the get together with the Boys Brigade) come along tonight to see what a normal Friday looks like.

Now things are back to normal (for a couple of weeks at least) we're continuing our series looking at God's master plan through history, going through the major events of the Bible. Tonight we're looking at how Abraham's family (the Hebrews) went from being promised their own country to being slaves in Egypt and how God set in motion his one man rescue plan - Moses.
Watch this 5 min video clip from the movie The Prince of Egypt to get a feel for what was going on:

And click here to check out Exodus chapter 1 & 2 and get the full story from the bible.

On Sunday morning we'll be looking at how God first told Moses he had a job for him that would change the course of history, how Moses was freaked out and how much he learned about God that day.
Check out this bizarre video of a 1970's comic book and record set for American kids for a some what bizarre version of these events (and then thank God that kids grow up with Veggietales these days):

And here's a bit of veg to take the nasty retro taste away that the previous video left in your mouth (Ming, this ones especially for you):

Click here to read what really happened when Moses met God for the first time. He didn't have an American accent or anything!

You don't have to be a Christian to come along, Youth Alpha is a great place to find out more about who God is and what the Bible has to say to us, so if that interests you or a friend of yours and you're in school year 7 - 11, leave a comment here or get in touch to let us know you when you would like to come along. Click here for our contact details.

Youth Alpha Fridays are 7.30 - 9.30pm at Broadway Baptist Church (come to the back door in the car park)
Sundays are 10.30 - 12pm at the church.

Two for One!

Here are the latest editions from our youtube channel, as seen at the last couple of Free* Cafe's.

We're going through the top ten rules for living, as written by the authour and designer of all life on earth, all life anywhere in fact.

This one is the first video Mingle has made, good for him huh!

This one is all about nicking stuff. Don't do it kids!

Have a look and leave a comment to let us know what you think.
Click here to visit our channel and watch all our videos.

This week....

This week stuff is back to normal for what feels like the first time in a long time.

Wednesday is F.B.I. at Church from 3.30pm - 5pm (invitation only)

Thursday is Solid Rock at Chesham Park school, lunch time in room A7 - a great place to eat your lunch, find out a bit about what the bible says and what Christians believe and have some fun too. It's open to anybody at the school, you don't have to be a Christian to come along.

Friday is TGIF at Chesham High school, lunch time in room H4 (I think, should be notes in the registers), as above but at Chesham High. Yay.

Friday night is Youth Alpha at Church, 7.30 - 9.30pm - bible teaching and a whole lotta fun for school years 7 - 11

Sunday morning is Youth Alpha at Church, 10.30 - 12pm, fill your head with bible stuff every week, school years 7 - 11

Sunday afternoon is Love in Action, the church community service project in the Pond Park area of Chesham, meeting on Windsor Green at 1.30pm, finishing about 3.30pm, it's a great place to meet people and it's open to anyone who wants to join it.

Sunday night is the Waiting Room, a chance to get a bit of peace and quiet and listen to God, 6.30 - 8pm at Church.

Plenty going on then, so don't miss out.

Offical Broadway Youth Park Race Tuesday

Hey everybody out there, welcome to the OFFICAL BROADWAY YOUTH PARK RACE TUESDAY. Just like the headline says infact.

Tomorrow our good friend, Youth Alpha leader and general Broadway Youth Star, Mr Simon Dwight is heading off to America for a while. In December his band and offical le Chesh' super stars THE PARK RACE are touring North Carolina, how about dem apples huh?

We had our last Youth Alpha Sunday with Simon at the weekend and we're really going to miss him. What's more, I've been listening to last years Park Race album Statues and Portraits a lot in the last week or so, so we've dedicated today to the band. Well why not, gotta use the bandwidth up some how huh!
Here's a picture of them looking quite scary.

And here's one of Simon at the famed Broadway Youth All-nighter last month, singing along to Cold Play at 3 in the morning or some such.:

And here's Simon on the same night, before he shaved:

And here's a very tasteful photo montage of the band performing put to one of their songs. It's great, you should watch it. Go on!
Click at the bottom to add it to your myspace profile and all that.

Add to My Profile

Click here to visit their web site and click here to go to their myspace profile

And just one more thing....

(Ta Luke!)

Right then, I'm off to the park to have a race with some statues and portraits I've stapled to an old pair of skates. Just hope I don't get hit in the head by a flying Mentos.
See you down there!

That was sure some fire works

OK, so this is some random youtube clip and it's not the fire works from Friday night at Chesham United football club. Ah well, Daryl's right though (see below) they sure were some fire works and we had a great Youth Alpha night toboot.

After the fire works we walked back to church and played some class games, well, I thought they were pretty classey.
The mums and dads made us hot chocolate and then did the washing up, YAY THEM! Thank you very much to Donna and Steve and everybody who helped serve and clear up, we really appreciated it.

Then on Saturday night:

We finished off all the 300th anniversary doings by dancing like barns up at Chesham Park school. Congratulations to Abbey, Matt, Nish, Jacob, Toby and Charlotte, you all 'got da moves', or something like that. It was alot of fun, I wish I'd taken a camera.

This morning in Youth Alpha we spent a long time working out Josephs family tree. So long in fact that I'm determined to scan that sucker in and get it on this page. We were thinking about promises, particulalry God's promises to Abramham to make him a great nation. That man had a whole lotta Great grand children!

And finally:
The (in)famous Broadway hut comes down tomorrow.... come back here then for a timely salute!
Till then

Ben

Circus of the EXTREME

Welcome to the Broadway Youth circus of the extreme,
the home of internet videos that made us sit up and rub our eyes.
Post some of your own, BUT KEEP IT CLEAN PEOPLE!

Let's begin with oriental people spinning pens aroudn their fingers like they've discovered the secret of anti gravity. Worth watching just for the sound track!

Next up, witness this man's incredible drum solo, without a drum in site. "This is Rock and roll" - he said it!

Another video worth checking out for the sound track alone.... watch Extreme Crew break dancing. Best in the world according to Mark Thomas (not the comedian).

and last but by no means least..... a lot of babies being sick. You would not believe the amount of sick one of those thigns can produce!

Let's test the DS wifi connection.... by jumping out of a plane

Well you would wouldn't you!

oooooooh, aaaaaaaah

It's Novemeber. Already. Well, almost.
Which means one very important thing:
The Youth Alpha Fire Works trip!
Next Friday, 3rd November we'll be meeting at the back of the church at 7pm and walking to Chesham United Football Club together to watch things explode. We'll then walk back to church and play some games.

Pick up time will be 9.30pm at church as normal.
Family members and friends are welcome either to join us or meet us at the football club.
Tickets are £3 for children and £5 for adults.

Stroof, Friday was a long night!

It finally happened! On Friday night / Saturday morning we had our All-nighter. The aim of the event was to stay up all night (of course) to celebrate 300 years of God's goodness to our church by spending 300 minutes on activities dedicated to Him. A minute for every year, incase you hadn't figured that out.

The activites included dedicating our minds to God through a quiz, dedicating our bodies to God by getting a dance routine together, using our voices in a midnight praise session and the Sing Star showdown and using our acting skills as well.

Here's a few memories from the event.

We kicked off with the now infamous 'animal game' that was made legendary by Frank's monkey impressions ("silky marmite"). This short activity produced more in-jokes then I could ever do justice to here. "Creepy Creepy. Creepy Creepy". etc.

This is Trinity Baptist Church who kindly lent us their building, because our own church was full with our 300th anniversary exhibition.

Thank you Colin, Tim and everybody at Trinity who made this possible!

Everybody brought along a DVD and we democratically voted to watch Jonny English (worst film title in British cinema history says-a-me!), so thanks to Sam for bringing that along. We put it on at about 1.30am, and Ian fell asleep in front of it, ahhh bless!

Our thanks to Lionel Ritchie for providing the theme song to our dance routine. This was one of Sarah's ideas and it was a lot of fun. Thank you Sarah! We stood around in a circle and made up a dance routine one step at a time. Video evidence of it's brilliance will soon be availible on request (to Youth Alpha and F.B.I. members only, natch)

See that picture? That's the bloke out of Keane that is. No doubt he's singing "Everybodies Changing", AGAIN! One of the high points of the night was seeing everybody compete to see who could get the most points on Sting Star Rocks. One of it's low points was sitting through "Everybodies Changing" three times.... mind you the first performance was a crowd pleaser. Sarah judged our various efforts, and I had a go at "Boys are Back in Town" by Thin Lizzy - but didn't do to well. Ah well. Calum and Matt R were both very good. Yay them!
The best part of the showdown was hoping that Ian would wake up from his Jonny English-induced slumber to find himself surrounded by strangers singing Queen songs and not know whether he was still dreaming. Saddly he took it all in his stride, it turns out he's quite hard to confuse.

At midnight Simon D and Park_2002 led the little crowd in some very atmospheric worship songs (thank you both for that).
"Thank you"s to Rueben for typing up the song words and Chrissy for operating the powerpoint.
That's Simon in the photo with his band The Park Race. If you liked what you heard on Saturday then click here to visit their web page or click here to go to see their myspace profile.! (Yeh) Hey is my personel favourite. Click here to read a review of it by Rueben.

Toast. There's nothng quite like it. We finished off the night by eating breakfast together, having a mass tidy up and chucking Calum's orange cushion about. Lovely. Then we all went home and slept.

Thank you Park_2002 for buying the food and Fliss for cooking it, doing the washing up, cleaning and generally getting on and doing stuff behind the scenes. Thanks also to Malcolm and Keith (yes Keith, ANOTHER thank you!) for your guidance and help. With out you two.....
And one more special thank you goes to local business Dwight Sounds who provided all our live PA solutions at a very competetive price.

Ta'rah.

How Lord of the Rings should have ended

I'm posting this little flash vid' especially for Iain, just incase he's looking.

F.B.I. this week

Because of the Broadway Expirience exhibition using the main building F.B.I. will a bit different tomorrow. We'll still meet at 3.30pm at Church, but we'll have a look around the exhibition till 4pm and then do our usual stuff in the back hall 'till 5pm. See you there.

Broadway Exhibition

If you've walked past the church this week you'll have noticed the MA-HOO-SIVE banner outside.
As part of the churches 300th anniversary celebrations we are running a free exhibition all week looking at the past, present and future of Broadway and our little home town of Le Chesh'!
It's free to get in and there's a good selection of stuff on display for people of all ages, including a great puppet video (all credit to Rueben) and a really cool garden space with a water fall.
The exhibition is called The Broadway experience and it runs all week till 4pm, an evening opening on Wednesday night (7-9pm) and a special opening on Saturday morning.

Tetris baby!

( Scroll down if your looking for news about Youth Alpha tonight or the All-nighter next week )
For the last week I've been living in 1991. That year anybody who was anybody got a Gameboy for Christmas and the UK rocked to the sound of Tetris. We had to, Bohemian Rhapsody was number 1 again, what choice did we have? Last Friday I got Tetris DS and my mind has been a mess of falling blocks since then. Even Park_2002 has been playing it by jingo!
All those memories of falling blocks have come flooding back, it's a beautiful thing. And it has a fun touch screen 'slidey' bonus game now too.

Here's a link to the IGN review.

And here's a person dressed as a really big L block:

And here's a really old Tetris advert from America, I like the bit with the boy dressed as a private I and his rotating head!

Tetris is so great, even buildings play it!

This video is a bit poor, but I like the rock version of the Tetris theme. Oh to see In Eternum incorporate it into their live set!

Tetris is so good, even lego plays it!

A lot of people don't realise that Elvis wrote the classic theme music. Check out this authentic documentary footage:

Then at 9pm we are walking back to good ol' Broadway for some hot chocolate, so get yo' mamma to pick you up from there at 9.30pm.

See you there.

I tell you kids, once you get started you can’t sit down,
Come join the fun, It’s a merry go round!

Although they will provide adequate seating and there won't actually be a merry go round!

There will be sleeping rooms provided, so if you do get tired you can catch up on your beauty sleep! But you'll need to bring your own sleeping bag and that kind of stuff!

You must have parental permission! No signed consent form - no entry - ALL NIGHT LONG!

I hope you have a great time! Because you guys are great, in fact your better then great, you're once, twice, three times really nice people, and I'm very fond of all of you!

Now I know it sounds funny, but I just can't stand the pain, this is the end of my announcement."

IMPORTANT NOTE: Obviously the real Lionel Richie had nothing to do with this. No really. So don't tell him!

explosive dream

i had a very weird dream last night, and i remember it quite well, i have nothing else to do so here goes

i had just been to buy diet coke + mentos, and we went to the school carpark to set them off, we went there, next to the car park was a row of class rooms with huge windows facing onto it, so we were waiting for there school to finish so we wouldnt get caught setting it off in there car park. in these class rooms every student faced the front so all we could see was the back of there heads. .Then one of my friends started shouting "get away, hide" really franticly, the next thing that happens is every single student turns around and looks me straight in the eye, the next thing im hiding behind a crate and the school explodes, but with no flames or anything, just all the rubble and stuff flying towards me. the next thing i remember im sitting in the rubble, dead, but i can still see, i get pulled out and get prounounced dead. then im standing ontop of a skyscraper with other skyscrapers all around in varying hights, i then start fighting batman, while flying and with tiny lightsabers.

and that was my twisted dream.

The Continentals

Do you like the songs from Disney movies?

Did you enjoy the BBC's "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" ?

Are you a fan of musical theatre?

Then you will probably get a big kick out of these guys:

They are The Continentals, a group of young America Christian singers.

If you're an Emo, Grunger, Metalist or a Goth then they aren't likely to be your slice of cheese.

(but check out Striper's myspace profile for a bit of rock cheddar - the seminal 80's Christian hair metal band who are incredibily still going!
Watch the vide on the site for some amazing hair spray abuse.)

If you answered 'yes' to any of the three questions above,
get yourself down to Broadway Baptist Church, Le Chesh, Bucks in good ol' England,
on Sunday morning (8th October) to catch their show "Reality Check".
10.30am - 12pm, free entry.

Click here to visit the Continentals website
there's audio, some video, a whole bunch of stuff in fact,
and don't miss the show tomorrow!

Nooma - Dust

If you missed TGIF at Chesham High on Frida,
or if you don't go to that school,
then you missed this ravour good video by Amecian bloke Rob Bell.
Check out the bit about "walking in the dust of your rabbi"
- it's interesting stuff!
The video is from the Nooma DVD series, watch out for the link to their website which will over there on the right some time soon.

Rule 10

As promised yesterday, here's the latest Free* Cafe' / Broadway Youth TV video.

Saddly, it doesn't feature Ming and Me looking shocked, or even a bit surprised. Shame.

The song in the back ground is "I want the one I can't have" by The Smiths (Best Band Ever! IMHO).

In the video we use a quotation from Jesus, talking about money, heaven and being satisfied in your life. Read the whole thing by clicking here,
it's a knock out!

shocked-what you didnt see

Out takes

Well here we are:

another Wednesday,
another Free* Cafe'
and another video added to Broadway Youth TV.

To warm you up for the latest BYTV offering, we've uploaded this little gem of outtakes and funny bits from our most recent video "When Matt & Ben met.... Jenny" (scroll down to watch the proper version).

Don't forget the school Christian Unions:

Chesham Park School has Solid Rock on Thursdays in A7.

Chesham High School has TGIF on Fridays in H5.

Both are a great place to eat your lunch and meet other people.
Everyone is welcome. You don't have to be a Christian or go to a church to come along, but do be prepared to hear people talking about what Jesus and the Bible have to say to us now. They are both welcoming and fun places to be.

See you there.

All Apologies

Following a grand telling off from Sarah, I would like to apologise to any of the young ladies at youth alpha who have been offended by my (constant) suggestions during the last week that they may already have met their future husbands at Broadway Youth events (see ‘congratulations’ posting about all the weddings this year).

I’m sorry.

But this means I get a written apology from anyone body who really does marry somebody they met here. And some cake!

The Lounge Today

Imagine the kids in that pictures in black blazers and you'll have a pretty fair mental image of the general shananigans at The Lounge hosted by TGIF at Chesham High School today.

Unfortunately we didn't have the offical MB Twister spinner. So we span a year 7 around and he shouted out random instructions like "right hand blue" (true story). He seemed to like it.

Other high lights included a little crowd around Battlefront 2 on the PS2 and the guy who can play lots of Guns and Roses rifts ("Go on, guess the song" "Sweet Child of mine?" "Correct!") It was like 1989 all over again I tells ya!

It's the last lounge tomorrow so don't miss it, lunch time, H5.

Post 106

yes, this is post 106, seems a while since i posted, so here i am, i now have myspace.

and i also have bebo which i have had for a while

and have a nice music video

If you missed Youth Alpha on Friday and Sunday then you missed....

Quite a bit!

We kicked off the Broadway Baptist Church week of prayer with some classey hi jinkery, including:

Chubby Bunnies! (Lauren is our reigning champion!)

Is it OK to talk to God when you're angry?
Click here to read a rant like you wouldn't believe from the Bible.

Does God answer every prayer, ever?

Practice makes perfect.
Click here and here to read Jesus' very own 6 step program to a better relationship with God through prayer.

A hilarious game of Consequences

And we prayed for Somaila,
the country with the 4th worst reputation for religious freedom in the world according to Open Doors.

Don't miss out this week, Friday night 7.30 - 9.30pm and Sunday morning 10.30 - 12pm @ Broadway Baptist Church.

You may have realised by now that none of the people in these photos go to Youth Alpha (thank you Google images). So this post is dedicated to those noble souls whose commitment to the sport of Chubby Bunnies includes posting photos of themselves on the internet for all to enjoy. People like this:

We salute you!

This post is also an open pray for the all the brothers and sisters in Somalia, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iran. May you one day be free to stuff your faces with marsh mallows at a youth group that openly follows Jesus Christ.

FOR GREAT JUSTICE !
