Ahhhh, all the Broadway Youth stuff is coming to an end for the summer and Youth Alpha Friday nights are no different. So to end in style tonight eight of us went bowling at HotShots in Hemel Hempstead. The last time I was there was with our Church House Group. I scored 28 and came last. I was beaten by two elderly ladies.
Today I scored 128!
But wait, before you break out the Fanta, I should point out that we had those barrier things on our lane that stop your ball ging down the drain. The ones little children use. After scoring two Strikes and about a couple of spares I thought it was time I stopped trying and let one of the lads win. I used a ball with tiny holes my fingers barely fit inside, I threw balls left and right. But the darns things bounced off the sides and gave me another spare and some 9's. Bah. So I beat everybody, I am the champion. But I swear I take absolutely no pleasure in it what so ever.
To give things a bit of a twist we had some blue mini fairy lights or 'Strike Lights'. Everybody who got a strike had to wear them until the next strike was scored.
Our proud Strike Light sporters were:
Mahbenja
Charlotte
Sarah
and
Lauren
Yay us. The award for best Strike Light / outfit combination goes to Lauren for wearing them like a choker and not looking out of place.
Post your own happy bowling memories here everybody.
Ben
