Here's a little something for the weekend: post your answers in the comments section or if you've got a lot to say, why not have a whole new posting all to yourself?
In the last two weeks I've got totally sucked in to the Silent Planet trilogy by C.S. Lewis. Yep that C.S.Lewis , the Narnia guy. The trilogy is about a bloke called Ransom. In the first one Out of The Silent Planet he gets kidnapped and taken to another planet, apparently to be sacrificed to the aliens there who want a human before they will let people from Earth mine for gold on their world. He escapes and meets another race of aliens, learns to speak their language and gradually has his mind blown by what he learns from them about the universe.
I finished the second book, Perelandra on Wednesday. In this one Ransom is sent on a mission to Venus, but he's not sure what it is. This is one of the best books I've read, it had a bit of a slow start but by the time I was half way through I felt like I was right there, involved in what was going on.
The third one is That Hideous Strength and I'm about half way through. It's very different to the others, for one thing it's set on earth in the 50's. But so far it's good.
